Waterloo is recognized as a hot bed of festival activity. The community has fully embraced the events either by volunteering, sponsoring, or by coming out to enjoy the multitude of amazing attractions! A number of Waterloo's festivals are free to attend. Whether you are into music, food, zany international street performers, medieval times, twinkling winter light displays - there is something for you in Waterloo.....

Waterloo's Ice Dogs Festival occurs annually in February (dependent on weather) and features an exciting variety of activities centered around ice sculpture demonstrations and live dog sled competitions.
Lend a hand to the earth by participating in various Earth Day Events throughout April. Plant a tree, help remove litter, and learn about our environment with fun hands-on activities.
Celebrate our greenspaces by planting a tree through the City's Partners in Parks program during Community Parks Week in early October.
June sees UpTown Country live in the Regina Street Parking Lot (at Regina St. and Willis Way) in UpTown Waterloo and the St-Jean Baptiste festival celebrations at the Laurel Creek Conservation area, hosted annually by the French Association of Kitchener-Waterloo.
July brings another ever popular music festival to the UpTown area - the UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival. Also starting in July is the Summer Concert Series and Music & Movies in the Park.
The Waterloo Buskers Carnival continues growing in popularity over four days late August.
Following closely is the Royal Medieval Faire in Waterloo Park.
Annually Waterloo looks forward to kicking off the Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest celebrations by hosting the Mayors Luncheon in Waterloo. Watch the Chronicle and our News for more information as the event approaches. Spas' N Spiel is a non-alcoholic family event including great music, great food and great entertainment.
Through out December enjoy the Wonders of Winter in Waterloo Park. January also sees Chinese New Years celebrations held at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.
