Royal Medieval Faire - join in the merriment of the 13th Annual Royal Medieval Faire Day. Faire Day Volunteers are required, for Saturday September 18th.
Senior Services - adult volunteers participate in programs, or deliver and enrich weekday services / supports / active-living options for seniors within our community:

Meal Program Volunteer - Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays, for 3-5 hours, between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. OR as needed as a weekday fill-in volunteer
- Shopper Escort Volunteer - flexible, weekdays. Drive a senior, and assist them to complete their shopping

- Driver Volunteer, Waterloo Home Support Services- 1/2 weekday or more per week, on a regular schedule or as a fill-in driver. Drive older adults to medical appointments or other activities
- 55+ Drop In Host / Hostess - for Thursday afternoons, once or twice a month
- 55 Forward Newsletter Committee, Writer - contribute ideas and articles for a quarterly newsletter for Waterloo older adults
- Activity Assistant, Senior Outing Day Program - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday; 1:00-3:00 or 3:30, depending on the day. Assist with activities and interact with seniors who participate in this weekday program
- Master of Ceremonies, Adult Recreation Centre - for one or more Friday afternoons per month, from 1:00 - 3:00. Assist and introduce the presenter; suggest future presenters, etc.
- Senior Games Committee Rep. Volunteer - ideal for one or two Waterloo older adults keen about active living. Participate in monthly meetings; share information with the future planners of senior summer games (to be held in Waterloo in 2013)
Environmental Programs: Community groups may be interested in exploring the various Community Stewardship Opportunities relating to environmental improvement projects in Waterloo's greenspaces. Organize your own group project, or visit the City of Waterloo's Calendar of Events for details on participating in an upcoming City-organized event.
Youth Volunteer Opportunities: Consider becoming involved on Youth Recreation Council, which meets from September - May, or volunteer with Aquatics for one or more swim sessions.
