Maps & GIS

GIS and Maps Banner Image

A geographic information system (GIS) helps users answer questions and solve spatial problems by examining data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared. GIS enables the easy integration of data from many sources, and makes the result more easily understood by showing it on a map. GIS integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information.
