Outdoor Sports Facilities

RIM Park

The City of Waterloo has many outdoor facilities at RIM Park to accommodate your favourite sports, including baseball, beach volleyball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, rugby and soccer.

In total, there are 12 multi-purpose sports fields, six ball diamonds and four sand beach volleyball courts.

Our premier outdoor sports field facility is loaded with amenities for families, sport teams and large community events with its two international-size artificial turf fields and four natural grass fields. Field lighting increases playing time until 11 p.m. from March to December.

It also has a playground, player benches, spectator seating, one-kilometre walking/running loop, pavilion, washrooms, accessible parking, GreenLab and a piece of public art called Rein in the Wind. This facility received funding from Waterloo Minor Soccer Club and the federal and provincial governments.

Each field at RIM Park is lined and maintained in order to meet appropriate rules and regulations, and ball diamonds are enclosed with fencing and have bleacher seating. Check our cancellations before you head to a game.
