The City of Waterloo has a popular splash pad for kids called Lions Lagoon. It is a great place to beat the summer heat. Lions Lagoon is open annually between the beginning of June through the Labour Day weekend in September.
The Lions Lagoon will be closed on Monday, June 29, 2015 for maintenance work. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Lions Lagoon is on the east side of Waterloo Park at 50 Young St. W. If you have questions about the splash pad, you can call Waterloo Park Customer Support.
Hours of operation
Lions Lagoon is open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. as weather permits. The splash pad will be closed when there is thunder and lightning, on overcast days when rain is forecasted or when air temperatures are below 20 degrees Celsius.
Admission to Lions Lagoon is free.
This exciting water attraction features time-delayed, interactive splash elements. Come play beneath the moonlit waterfalls, face a water-breathing dragon or walk among trees in a rain forest. Ground sprays and water cannons add to the fun.
There are several other on-site amenities:
- Concessions at the Park Inn
- Nearby playgrounds, flower gardens, grassy play areas and the Eby Farmstead
- Shade structures and picnic areas
