Serving on a City of Waterloo committee of council is one of the ways you can get involved and make a difference in your community.

City of Waterloo mid-term committee recruitment

The council of the Corporation of the City of Waterloo invites members of the public who reside, own property, own a business, work in the City of Waterloo or attend a Waterloo campus of a post-secondary institution to apply for council boards and committees for a term ending Nov. 30, 2018*.

Additional information for each committee including the terms of reference is available for each committee below. Please note meeting dates and times are approximate and are subject to change based on majority of member availability.

Student resource positions are required for advisory committees (see application for details). This position is available to interested students enrolled in a City of Waterloo post-secondary institution. The appointed students will be invited to attend all committee meetings, however they will not have voting rights and attendance will not impact committee's quorum. Students, please fill out the appropriate application form below.

Code of conduct for members of council (applicable to audit committee, committee of adjustment, dog designation appeal committee, community cash grants advisory committee, appeals tribunal, municipal heritage committee, and sign variance committee)

Code of conduct for members of advisory committees (applicable to all other committees except those listed above)

Mid-Term Committee Recruitment applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 and may be submitted via the methods indicated on the application form. Please note verbal applications will not be accepted and it is recommended applications not be mailed as there is no guarantee they will be received by the deadline.
