The City of Waterloo runs a leash-free dog area in Bechtel Park where your dog can run free in a two-hectare (five-acre) fenced space. The dog park is open daily from sunrise to sunset. We may close it at any time without notice.
Royal Canin Canada Company is a proud sponsor of the leash free area at Bechtel Park. Join them at the leash-free dog area on the following dates from 9-12 p.m. to talk to a pet nutritionist, and receive free samples: May 14, June 11, July 9, Sept. 10, Oct. 8.
Bechtel Park is located near the intersection of Bridge Street and University Avenue East at 185 Bridge St. W. From the entrance, follow the road to the left, past the tennis courts, to get to the leash-free area.
