City to reopen playgrounds and its Museum

Posted On Thursday July 16, 2020

Playgrounds in city parks will reopen for use on Friday. The reopening follows an announcement earlier this week from the province that communities in Waterloo Region were moving into Stage 3, as of Friday.

In this phase, playground use is permitted. Anyone using playground equipment is still required to maintain physical distancing. They should wash their hands before and after using the equipment, and also consider wearing a mask as an additional precaution. Additional information to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be posted at each playground and is also available on the Region of Waterloo’s Public Health website. (Learn more about COVID-19.
