Waterloo Swimplex reopens for lane swimming and waterfit

Posted On Friday July 31, 2020

Starting August 4, 2020, lane swimmers and waterfit participants are welcome back to the Swimplex at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.

Lane swimming and waterfit are available in a limited capacity with reduced participants and a smaller number of classes and times. Participants will need to pre-register for both the lane swims and waterfit classes within 48 hours prior to the start of a program. Pre-registration begins Sunday, August 2, 2020 online at ActiveWaterloo

The City of Waterloo recreation services team is pleased to offer residents access to lane swimming and waterfit in a safe and responsible way. New procedures are in place to ensure a safe environment for all participants and staff. Some of these include reduced maximum capacities, self-screening requirements, separate entrance and exit, no access to changerooms and lockers and more. For a full list of all the new procedures and practices, please visit waterloo.ca/swim

To register, please visit: ActiveWaterloo within 48 hours prior to the program start time. If you have questions or need assistance with registration, please call 519-886-1177. For full details visit waterloo.ca/swim
