Waterloo accepting applications for Uptown Façade CIP

Posted On Tuesday September 07, 2021

The City of Waterloo is now accepting applications for its Uptown Façade Community Improvement Program (CIP).

The Uptown Façade CIP is open to property owners or businesses in uptown Waterloo specifically, who plan to update their building’s façade to improve the streetscape and/or conserve heritage features. Eligible businesses may receive a matching grant up to $10,000, or $15,000 in the case of a corner property. Additional funding up to $5,000 is available for designated heritage properties.

The fall application period for the Uptown Waterloo Façade CIP is open until October 18, 2021.

Please visit waterloo.ca/CIP to learn more about program requirements. Staff review applications on a first-come basis and all applications are subject to available funding.

Interested parties should book a pre-application meeting with City of Waterloo Economic Development staff to discuss the scope of work, timing and project eligibility. Please contact the team by email at CIP@waterloo.ca or by phone at 519-465-5501.

The City of Waterloo looks forward to meeting and collaborating with local business owners to help them improve the façade and/or heritage features of their uptown building.
