Media advisory: Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for City of Waterloo’s Larch Street woonerf

Members of the media are invited to join Member of Parliament Bardish Chagger, Mayor Dave Jaworsky, and Ward 6 Councillor Jeff Henry as they officially open the Larch Street woonerf, Waterloo’s first living street!

A shared street designed to emphasize walking and cycling and to be a social space where people can meet and interact, the woonerf is the first of its kind in the City of Waterloo. The unique design of the street welcomes and encourages active transportation while slowing through vehicle traffic.
