Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about Waterloo Park. Customer Support is available to help you Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm

Q. What are the hours of operation at Waterloo Park?

A. Waterloo Park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Washrooms are locked daily at 10 p.m.

Q. Does Waterloo Park have a lost-and-found area?

A. Found items are kept at the Waterloo Park service building. Contact Customer Supoort to report a lost item in the park. 

Q. Is there an admission fee to get into Waterloo Park?

A. No, it is free to enter and enjoy the park. There are fees to reserve the shelter in the Lions Lagoon splash pad or our picnic areas for organized events, such as birthday parties, family reunions or corporate picnics. 

Q. Are there public barbecues in the Waterloo Park? Are barbecues permitted?

A. There are no public barbecues in the park. Barbecues are permitted, provided that they are propane. Charcoal barbecues are not allowed. They cannot be used inside the Lions Lagoon, underneath any sheltered area, or around the East Gazebo.

Q. Are there water fountains in Waterloo Park?

A. There are no water fountains inside the Park.

Q. Where is parking available in Waterloo Park?

A. We have 3 main lots available for parking, at each major entrance to the Park: Young Street, Seagram Drive and Westmount Road. Buses for school or community trips can park in the Young Street lot, but space is limited. Angle parking is available off the Westmound Road entrance, and there is street parking on Father David Bauer Drive.  

Q. Can I post signs or advertise in Waterloo Park?

A. Promotional material cannot be posted without approval, posters can be sent to Waterloo City Hall to be approved and posted on our community boards. Patrons who are interested in posting signs for their booked event should contact Customer Support about regulations. 

Q. How do I book or check availability to hold an event in Waterloo Park?

A. Visit our facility rental pages to learn more about the rental opportunities in the park, or to submit a booking request. This handout outlines the amenities we offer and the costs of our facilities. Bookings can also be done online! 

Q. Whom do I contact to view the Grist Mill and what are the viewing hours?

A. We would be happy to show you the inside of the Grist Mill if you are considering holding a wedding or event there. Contact Customer Support to book a time. Viewing times are available Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Q. How many sports fields are in Waterloo Park? How do I rent them?

A. We have four ball diamonds (two lit, two unlit), two soccer and rugby fields and one cricket pitch. Visit our facility rental pages to learn more about the rental opportunities in the park. Unauthorized field and diamond use is prohibited.
