Recreation Facilities

The City of Waterloo is committed to promoting recreational opportunities for our residents.

That's why we offer a wide range of programs and services out of our recreation facilities.

Enjoy the healthy, active living opportunities at our arenas, ball diamonds and sports fields, indoor sports fields, indoor track, outdoor rinks, pools, seniors' centres, skatepark, splash pad, tennis courts and more.

We also offer parks and trails, and exceptional amenities at the Albert McCormick Community Centre, Moses Springer Community Centre, RIM Park, Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex and Waterloo Public Square.

To get to know some of our facilities better, take a virtual tour.

Do not worry if you need to get some work done between games - we offer free wireless access at many of our facilities through the Waterloo Public Wi-Fi network.

Please leave your valuables at home when you visit our facilities. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Respectful behaviour in our facilities

City of Waterloo recreation facilities are intended to serve a diverse population and a wide variety of uses.  In an effort to foster a safe, healthy, respectful and positive environment for everyone who visits our facilities – members of the public, volunteers, sports groups, and staff – the City of Waterloo has recently developed a new respectful behaviour policy

The policy is a tool that defines what types of behavior are considered inappropriate within city facilities and provides guidelines for how city staff should respond to inappropriate behavior involving community members.

City recreation facilities are for public use – it’s critical that the public understands our approach to curbing inappropriate behaviour and creating a safe and respectful environment for all. We are confident this policy will strengthen the measures we already implement to ensure an enjoyable experience for all who visit our facilities.
