Day of Play

Day of Play presented by The HUB

Should adults engage in play? Don't they have better things to do? Shouldn't they be focusing on their careers, making money, maintaining their assets?

More and more research shows that play is an integral part of being human, and is an important part of daily life for both children and adults. Play is fun, and supports mental health, emotional well-being and physical fitness. Play relieves stress, improves brain function, stimulates the mind and boosts creativity. It can improve relationships, keep people feeling young and energetic and develop and improve social skills. Play teaches cooperation with others, and can help heal emotional wounds.

Take a break from the hectic and engage in some fun!

In 2017, the Day of Play is switching to a pop-up format. Stay tuned and watch for updates on the Create Waterloo social media pages (FacebookTwitter and Instagram) for details.
