Culture Days Workshop

June 6 - Culture Days Workshop

Waterloo Visitor & Heritage Information Centre (10 Father David Bauer Dr.) 6:30 - 8 p.m. 

This free public workshop is for individuals, arts organizers, community groups, and anyone else interested in learning more about Culture Days and all the ways to get involved in this annual celebration.

Making Markers and Refocusing Meaning  - 3-8 p.m.

Join St Marie φ Walker as they celebrate the 125th anniversary of Waterloo Park. Their project, Prose in the Park, will animate the park through hands-on workshops, word walks, storytelling activities, word treasure hunts, and activities will take place from June to September.

 

Solstice Sampling - Summer Night Crawl

Summer Night Crawl - 5-9 p.m. - $40 (10 restaurants included)

Kick off the summer with this popular food and drink festival! This year, enjoy the new format with a restaurant crawl to a variety of uptown Waterloo restaurants, where you can enjoy samples of delicious culinary creations and great entertainment.

National Indigenous Peoples Day

June 21 - N.I.P.D.

Waterloo Public Square

This day recognizes the cultures and contributions of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples of Canada. This year will feature a large temporary art installation by August and Luke Swinson. Thanksgiving address will be given at 4 p.m. in Waterloo Public Square.
