Water meters

Most homes in this city have an outside water-meter reading device called a remote so our staff do not have to enter your home to get your reading. Older remote models can jam though, so watch your bills and compare them periodically to the readings on your water meter or remote.

If your consumption appears lower than normal, please contact us immediately so we can take another reading. If the initial one was incorrect, you will receive a supplementary bill to cover the discrepancy - early detection will help you avoid a large bill.

We do not go door to door selling any water-related services or testing water. If someone approaches you claiming to be a city employee, call us at 519-886-2310 or contact the Ministry of Consumer Services at 1-800-889-9768.
