PA Play Days

The City of Waterloo holds a number of activities at our recreation facilities on PA days throughout the school year.

2016-17 PA days

  • Sept. 23 - both school boards
  • Oct. 21 - Catholic school board only
  • Nov. 18 - both school boards
  • Dec. 9 - Catholic school board only
  • Jan. 27 - both school boards
  • April 7 - both school boards
  • May 5 - Public school board only
  • June 2 - both school boards
  • June 30 - Public school board only
PA Day Skates

Leadership Courses:
Friday April 7 PA Day at Albert McCormick Community Centre
Friday June 2 PA Day at RIM Park
Home Alone Safety for Kids (ages 9 to 12 years)

This is a registered one day program to help children gain the confidence and skills to stay at home alone successfully. For more information and to register visit the City of Waterloo's registration website ExpressReg.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
$60 plus $10.50 for course manual

Red Cross Babysitting (ages 11 to 14 years)

This is a registered one day program to teach children how to create and manage a babysitting business, gain the skills to supervise younger children in a safe and responsible manner, and learn basic first aid skills. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Self Guided art tours at RIM Park or Uptown Waterloo. 


Skateboarding

Skateboarding at the Skatepark, 10 a.m.to 10 p.m.


Swimming
  • Kidsplash at the Swimplex, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. (six years and under)
  • Public swim at the Swimplex, 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Family swim at the Swimplex, 7:05 to 8 p.m.
  • Public swim at the Swimplex, 8 to 9:30 p.m.
