Winterloo

Winterloo is the city's annual cold weather festival happening on January 25, 2025. 

Winterloo is an annual, free for all ages festival that is open to the public and run by the City of Waterloo’s Arts and Creative Industries team, Create Waterloo. 

Break away from the winter blues with indoor and outdoor winter-themed activities on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. throughout uptown Waterloo. Find this years festival locations using the online Winterloo 2025 Google Map.

Located at Waterloo Public Square:

  • Watch three award-winning ice carvers create eye-catching sculptures
  • Bring your own skates to enjoy outdoor ice skating
  • Jam out to music spun live by DJ King Kadeem
  • Warm up with the Hissing Goose Coffee Roasters food truck

Located at Visitor Information Centre:

  • Meet the snow dogs from the Ontario Federation of Sled Dog Sports and Rajenn Sled Dogs
    • Small children can also enjoy a sled ride with the snow dogs (under 100lbs)
  • Take a fun Winterloo picture on the ice throne created by Mindful Makers
  • Play giant games provided by Spiniko
  • Sweeten your day at the maple taffy station
  • Listen to music with CKMS-FM Radio Waterloo
  • Grab a bite from the BeaverTails and Fo'Cheezy food truck
