Come work with us

We hire students and part-time staff for many seasonal roles, especially in:

  • recreation and swim programs
  • summer camps
  • customer service roles
  • parks and outdoor spaces

You’ll join a team dedicated to serving our community and providing quality programs and services.

If you are a post secondary student in a co-op program and want to get experience with the city, check your school website for available postings.

We do not post co-op jobs on waterloo.ca. They are only available through your school portal.

When to apply

Keep these timelines in mind when planning to apply:

  • summer jobs are typically posted in mid-December and remain open until the end of January
  • hiring takes place throughout the winter and spring
  • check each job posting for exact application deadlines and requirements
