What the strategy focuses on

City Council approved Waterloo's first Neighbourhood Strategy in 2018. It sets out how the city and residents can build stronger, more connected neighbourhoods together.

The strategy focuses on:

  • helping neighbours connect and build relationships
  • encouraging residents to lead local projects
  • guiding how the city plans programs and services that support neighbourhood life
