Budget timelines and feedback
The staff tabled 2027 budget will be released on December 14, 2026. Council will consider it for approval on February 8, 2027.

What’s in the budget?
The operating budget pays for day-to-day city services and programs.
The capital budget pays for major projects, such as building, repairing or replacing city infrastructure.
Business plans explain what city services plan to do and how they will use the budget.

2027 budget timeline
December 14, 2026 — 2027 budget release
Staff will release the proposed 2027 operating and capital budgets and business plans. The public feedback survey will also open.
January 2027 — budget information sessions
Join an in-person or virtual session to learn about the proposed budget and ask questions.
January 11, 18 and 25, 2027 — staff present business plans
City staff will present business plans to council.
February 1, 2027 — capital budget review
Council will review the proposed capital budget.
February 8, 2027 — budget approval
Council will review public feedback and consider the 2027 operating and capital budgets for approval.
Share your feedback
The budget feedback survey opens on December 14, 2026. We will add a link to the survey when it opens.
In-person and virtual budget information sessions will take place in January 2027. Session details will be added once confirmed.
