The city of Waterloo has many outdoor bike and skate parks for BMX, scootering, and skateboarding sports.

Bike and skate park locations

 RIM Park Bike Park
  • the RIM Park Bike Park consists of two asphalt pump tracks, one for beginners and one for intermediate and advanced riders
  • it is intended for BMX sports but bikes, scooters and skateboards are allowed on both tracks
  • gender-neutral washrooms and parking are nearby
  • RIM Park will be adding an additional skate park in spring 2025

  • the Waterloo Park Skate Park is located off Father David Bauer Drive, in Uptown Waterloo
  • it offers ramps, stairs and vertical elements for bikes, skates, and skateboarding sports

Review our rules

Stay safe:
  • most city bike and skate parks are unsupervised and without lighting, to prevent injury, do not use them after dusk
  • wear protective gear, including helmets and safety pads
  • children should be closely supervised, especially if still learning
  • inspect the conditions of the park ahead of time to ensure it's safe and do not use it during wet or icy weather
  • take turns and be mindful of traffic

The city is not responsible for any loss, damage or injuries resulting from use of the skatepark.

Be respectful:
  • help keep the space free of graffiti or tagging, it ruins the skate surface
  • prevent accidents by not dropping or throwing anything into the skatepark
  • be considerate of those around you and keep noise to a minimum
