The eight winners are invited to share their ideas at Waterloo’s State of the City on May 1, 2025,  and spend the day with Mayor McCabe and City Council.

  • City of Waterloo calls for proposals for $725,000 Affordable Rental Housing Grant The City announced today it will be accepting applications for the second round of its Affordable Rental Housing Grant allocating $725,000 towards affordable rental housing. The funding is available to not-for-profit organizations, including not-for-profit housing co-operatives, to support them in the creation and/or retention of affordable rental housing in Waterloo.

  • Help care for Waterloo parks this Earth Day The City of Waterloo invites community members to take action toward a cleaner and greener Waterloo by organizing a litter cleanup for Earth Day. Since 2004, families, friends, neighbours and coworkers in Waterloo have been coming together for a city-wide cleanup of local parks and trails to celebrate Earth Day.
