This month serves as an important reminder of the profound contributions of Black individuals in shaping our community and beyond.

Despite systemic barriers rooted in racism, Black Canadians have made outstanding contributions to Waterloo Region, Canada and beyond.

As we honour the past, we also celebrate the present and look toward a future where everyone’s contributions are recognized and valued.
