Informal public meeting
Zoning By-law Amendment Application Z-19-04 2616359 Ontario Inc. 262-280 Albert Street
The applicant is proposing a six storey apartment building containing 190 units. To facilitate the proposed development, the applicant is requesting a zoning by-law amendment to permit an increased density of 573 bedrooms per hectare and other site specific provisions including reduced rear yard and side yard setbacks, permission for two driveways and removal of a holding provision. During an informal public meeting, council is receiving information about the planning review and proposed amendments for information, and asks questions for clarification. No decisions or opinions of council are shared at this stage.
Formal public meeting
Zoning Change Application Z-18-04, Club Willowells, 40 Blue Springs Dr.
Following a formal public meeting, council approved an official plan amendment (OPA20) and zone change application (Z-18-04) that will allow the redevelopment of the property that is currently occupied by Club Wilowells and is home to a recreation facility, tennis courts, parking area, landscaping and ponds. The developer will be constructing a new apartment building with a six storey podium and a nine storey tower containing 182 units (298 bedrooms). The zone change application only applies to the Club Willowells portion of the property, while the ponds, boardwalks, and walkways will retain their current “open space” designation and zoning.
