City of Waterloo launches Generation Park with land sale

Today the City of Waterloo is launching Generation Park Waterloo, a premiere employment development with approximately 98 acres of fully serviced industrial lands for sale.

The new employment park, previously known as the west-side employment lands, offers light industrial, industrial and commercial lands owned by the City of Waterloo. With sustainability standards and environmental principles in place, Generation Park will be one of Canada’s first zero-carbon ready industrial parks.

"We’ve established these employment lands in an ideal location for creating a community of businesses looking to the future," says Waterloo Mayor Dorothy McCabe. "We want businesses focused on the next generation of products and services."

The City hopes to attract forward-thinking businesses who share a commitment to the planet and future generations. Generation Park Waterloo is surrounded by green space, new residential communities, diverse retail options and provincially protected farmland and forest.

"Generation Park is evidence that Waterloo does things differently," says Justin McFadden, Executive Director of Economic Development. "We’re thinking ahead, and we’re looking for businesses that are as well, in exchange, we’re offering a strategic location in Waterloo with access to some of the best and brightest talent in North America."
