City of Waterloo publishes digital version of Program & Activities Guide

A special digital edition of the summer Program & Activities Guide is now available at waterloo.ca/programguide

The City of Waterloo is committed to delivering enjoyable recreation experiences in a safe and responsible manner. Given the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic and the gradual reopening of businesses and services across Waterloo Region, we have produced a digital-only format of the summer guide to remain as flexible as possible to make quick changes should the need arise. The digital format of the summer guide will direct residents to our online registration platform, ActiveWaterloo, where real-time information about programming and activities will be available. It’s important for the community to know that the information published could change at any time based on direction from public health and the provincial government.

To abide by provincial direction and public health guidelines on physical distancing and other hygiene requirements, we have implemented several changes to our programming to ensure the health and safety of staff and participants. We continue to closely monitor updates provided by Waterloo Region Public Health and the Province of Ontario and will alter protocols and practices as necessary.

We encourage readers to check advertiser websites for current information about their services, and to bookmark your favourites for future classes.

Registration opens online at waterloo.ca/activewaterloo beginning June 22. Fee assistance is available by submitting an application online.

What can you expect to see in the digital version of the summer guide?

  • Pandemic updates and ActiveWaterloo search tips
  • Summer day camps for families who may need them
  • Museum COVID curators
  • Online arts and culture events
  • New deadlines for neighbourhood matching fund applications
