City of Waterloo remembers former councillor Bob Mavin

The flags at City of Waterloo facilities will fly at half-mast in memory of former City of Waterloo councillor Bob Mavin. Mavin served the City of Waterloo as a councillor from 2014 to 2018, including a leave of absence for illness, during which he remained committed to serving the community and the residents of Ward 1 to the best of his abilities. Prior to his election, he worked at the City on the finance team, including eight years as the City's Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from 2003 to 2011.

“I’m so very sorry to hear of the passing of former councillor and staffer Bob Mavin," said Mayor Dorothy McCabe. “His dedication to community engagement in the City's budget process, as both a councillor and a member of the public, will be remembered. On behalf of the City of Waterloo and our council, my sincere condolences to the Mavin family."
