Community partners knock on doors to welcome students

(Waterloo, Ont. – Sept. 25, 2018) Representatives from City of Waterloo by-law enforcement, Waterloo Regional Police Services, University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Waterloo’s Federation of Students, Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union, Waterloo Fire Services, Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services, University of Waterloo Police Services, and KW4Rent will knock on doors this Thursday to welcome, meet, and talk with university students. 

The goal of the doorknocker campaign is to educate students about different services and expectations like rental licensing, active transportation, parking options, by-laws, property standards, personal safety, fire safety, respectful behaviour and more. Details of the campaign are as follows:

Community partners will meet in the Wilfrid Laurier University parking lot off Balsam Street, behind the Lazaridis School of Business, and aim to cover the following area:
