Eid al-Adha (1)

The joyous festival of Eid al-Adha is an important celebration for Muslims across the world. This symbolic religious event occurs over 3 days during the last month of the Islamic calendar following the end of the Hajj pilgrimage, a sacred journey to Mecca for many.

Muslims share meaningful traditions of prayer, food and gratitude through giving of gifts with family, friends and loved ones. It is also customary to perform the Qurbani, the ritual sacrifice of an animal, with the meat distributed to those in need.
