Greening our community together (1)

The City of Waterloo is delighted to work with local neighbourhood groups to host community planting events this fall within city parks in Waterloo. Planting native trees, shrubs and wildflowers provides healthy habitat for native pollinator species and increases diversity of our native plant communities.

In 2019, our program focuses on creating habitat to support native pollinators like bees, butterflies, birds and other insects.  The City of Waterloo gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Community Environmental Fund administered by the Regional Municipality of Waterloo.

Get to know your neighbourhood park, meet new people and help create habitat for native pollinators by joining us at one of the scheduled events below.  Please RSVP to participate in city-led events by completing the online sign-up form.
