Lifting of vaccine proof requirement and capacity limits at Waterloo recreation facilities
As the province of Ontario continues to gradually ease public health measures, the following changes will be in effect at City of Waterloo recreation facilities beginning Tuesday, March 1 2022:
- proof of vaccination will no longer be required for entry at city recreation facilities
- capacity limits will be lifted
- visitors are to passively screen before entering the facilities; please self-screen for symptoms and stay home if you are symptomatic
Visitors will still be required to wear face masks at all times, except for participants during play or on the bench. Physical distancing and continuing to follow all Public Health advice is still encouraged, and all visitors are asked to please be respectful of one another as we return to full capacity in our facilities.
For the most up to date information, please refer to the city’s COVID-19 response page.
