Love Sport? Game ON!

(Waterloo, Ont. – October 30, 2018) The newest City of Waterloo Museum exhibit looks at local sports and recreation.

What: Love Sport? Game ON!
Where: City of Waterloo Museum, located at Conestoga Mall (near the food court)
When: November 13, 2018 to March 15, 2019

For many of us, sports play an important role in our lives. As a nation, we participate in a wide array of sports and other community-based recreational activities. The City of Waterloo Museum’s newest exhibition: Love Sport? Game ON!, looks to the past; to the originals, to understand our community’s strong passion for sport and our sporting groups. This display of objects, archival materials, and modern photography compares and contrasts early local athletes and present-day ones who have made, and are making important contributions to our local sports legacy.

The museum collaborated with interested local sporting organizations to present an exhibition that reveals the talent we have in our own backyard. Meet passionate athletes and hear their incredible stories, and take in the skill, motivation, and dedication that goes into everything they do. Game ON!
