Nowruz 2026

Today, many people around the world and here in Waterloo will be celebrating Nowruz, a festival marking the beginning of spring and celebrating the return of light after winter.

This celebration has origins in the Middle East, Central Asia, Bahá’í and Ismaili communities and is a time filled with hope, joy and optimism.
