Numerous tickets and charges laid stemming from St. Patrick’s Day gathering
Numerous tickets and charges were issued by the City of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University as a result of the unsanctioned street gathering on March 17 that occurred in the City of Waterloo.
A breakdown of the City of Waterloo charges includes:
- Nuisance noise (summons): 5
- Nuisance gatherings (summons): 9
- Noise bylaw: 6
- Nuisance (bodily emissions): 2
- Business licensing: 1 (summons)
Wilfrid Laurier University special constables issued 69 provincial offence notices, of which 43 were given to non-students and 26 to Laurier students.
