Public information centre - the future of the city crematorium

The City of Waterloo’s Parkview Cemetery has operated a crematorium since 1977. The crematorium is now at a point where major renovations and equipment upgrades are needed. Coupled with this, private operators can now provide crematorium services introducing new, highly competitive pressures on the city for this service. We want to hear from you regarding the future direction of this service. Should the city reinvest in the crematorium and continue to provide cremation services or wind-down and re-purpose the building for other uses?
