Reinventing our public spaces in uptown Waterloo

On March 4, 2019, an uptown public realm strategy will be presented to council for approval. This strategy is about the spaces between the buildings - streets, parks and other spaces - and how we can find opportunities to create new or improved places. As uptown continues to evolve, we need to make sure that we have a clear public realm strategy so that people working, living, learning and playing in uptown have great places to walk, ride, play, meet and rest. Once approved, the strategy will guide public and private investment in uptown's public realm and will inform changes to the city's implementation documents such as the zoning bylaw and urban design manual.

The strategy will be presented to council in the City of Waterloo council chambers on March 4 (time to be determined), Waterloo City Centre, 100 Regina Street, South, Waterloo. For more information, visit waterloo.ca/uptownplay or contact Janice Mitchell at janice.mitchell@waterloo.ca.
