Summer jobs at the City of Waterloo
The City of Waterloo is hiring for the summer 2025 season. Over 85 staff are hired each year to support parks, camps, aquatics, programming, special events and more.
As a proud living wage employer, the City of Waterloo pays all full-time, part-time and contract staff at least $20.90.
“Working for the City is a great way to spend the summer,” said Kathy Weidhaas, Director, Human Resources at the City of Waterloo. “Summer staff get to see the inner workings of a municipality while building their professional skills and network. They also get to work with fantastic people who deeply appreciate their contributions - many of our current full-time employees began their careers with the City in these roles!”
The City is also hosting the first ever City of Waterloo Summer Job Fair on January 15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Centre. Drop by to meet staff, learn more about working for the City and gain a better understanding of roles and the application process.
Applications are currently open, with most roles closing on January 19. Apply now at: www.waterloo.ca/careers
