Tell us what you think about the new uptown streetscape in Waterloo

The Region of Waterloo is conducting a survey to understand what residents and businesses in the community think about the streetscape improvements to date. Please take five to ten minutes to complete this survey by Friday, November 30, 2018 and let the Region of Waterloo know what you think of the new changes.

(All responses are confidential and personal information will be removed from responses. Data that is collected in this survey will be considered as part of the planning process for the next stages of the project. Responses will be collected together and reported as averages, themes, and trends. Only a limited number of staff at the region will have access to the raw data.)

Next steps

The first phase of the streetscape improvements on King Street in uptown Waterloo has recently been completed between the ION tracks near the public square and Bridgeport Road. These improvements include new segregated bike lanes, wider sidewalks, decorative lights, street trees and new street furnishings such as benches, waste receptacles and planter pots.

Similar streetscape improvements are planned over the next couple of years north of Bridgeport Road to University Avenue. Information will be provided in early 2018 about the timing and next stages of the King Street improvements project.
