On Transgender Day of Visibility we recognize and celebrate the transgender, non-binary and Two-Spirit people in our families, neighbourhoods, communities and workplaces.

This annual awareness day honours the lives of transgender people while shedding light on the discrimination and challenges they continue to face.

Visibility plays a crucial role in challenging the stigma and misconceptions surrounding transgender people. It also emphasizes the diversity within the transgender community, reminding us that transgender individuals are not a monolithic group, but rather a vibrant community with varied experiences, identities and needs.

As a community, we can work together to foster safe spaces for self-discovery by taking action on oppressive systems that perpetuate violence and harm.
