Trails
Waterloo Park connects to major regional trails, making it easy to explore the city:
- Iron Horse Trail connects Waterloo Park to Victoria Park in Kitchener
- Trans-Canada Trail runs to St. Jacobs Farmer Market, connecting Kitchener, Waterloo and the Township of Woolwich
- Laurel Trail runs from uptown Waterloo through University of Waterloo to Columbia Lake

Silver Lake boardwalk
Travel across Silver Lake on the wooden boardwalk and enjoy views of the park:
- open year-round, weather permitting
- closed during icy conditions for safety

The park features Victorian-style gardens and landscaped green spaces:
- seasonal flower beds and manicured lawns
- shaded benches along walking paths
- popular spots for wedding and event photos
Public art
Discover outdoor art installations throughout the park:

We don’t have a lost and found for fields, courts or parks:
- we take found wallets, phones or keys to the Waterloo Service Centre
- we leave clothing, sports gear and other items where they were found
