Learn what the city reviews

When reviewing new telecommunication towers, the city focuses on:

  • locating towers away from residential areas where possible
  • addressing sensitive location sites
  • encouraging appropriate design and co-location
  • defining the local consultation process and requirements

Apply in person

How to apply:

  1. Download and complete a Telecommunication Facility Application (PDF).
  2. Submit your completed application and payment in person at the IPPW counter on the second floor of City Hall

The fee for each facility application is $5,060.

Pay by cash, debit or cheque payable to the City of Waterloo.
