Where you can ride e-scooters
You can ride e-scooters:
- on any road with a speed limit of 50 km/h or less
- in bike lanes, even on roads with higher speed limits
- on paved multi-use trails next to streets, such as

Follow e-scooter rules
To ride an e-scooter, you must:
- be 16 years of age or older
- wear a helmet
When riding:
- only one rider is allowed – no passengers
- stay off sidewalks – walk your scooter if you need to cross or park
- ride on the right side of the road, close to the edge
- slow down on shared trails
- yield to pedestrians
- park clear of sidewalks, driveways and roads
