Road reconstruction projects

Road reconstruction replaces pavement, curbs, sidewalks, boulevards, and underground sewers or watermains.

Find current road reconstruction projects on EngageWaterloo.

Stream and stormwater restoration

We restore creeks, ponds and stormwater systems to reduce erosion and improve water quality and habitat. Work may include removing vegetation, sediment and debris, and rebuilding and replanting creek banks.

Find active restoration projects on the stormwater page.

Resurfacing and repairs

We maintain and resurface roads year-round, including:

  • milling and overlaying asphalt
  • curb and sidewalk repairs
  • full or partial road replacement

Check the Road, trail and sidewalk closures page for affected routes.

Sidewalk and trail improvements

Sidewalk and trail projects improve access and safety for people walking, wheeling and cycling.

Find active sidewalk and trail projects on EngageWaterloo.
