Condominiums and subdivisions

Under the Planning Act, the Region of Waterloo is the approval authority for plans of condominium and subdivision. Comments from the city are required before a decision is made. Visit the region's website for application details.

Draft plans of subdivisions and condominium conversion applications are considered by council. All other condominium applications are evaluated by the Director of Planning on behalf of council. 

There is no city application form for a plan of condominium. All applications will be made to the Region of Waterloo, who will circulate it to the city. The city does require separate fees from the Region of Waterloo fees, and these are listed below.
