Business plans presented to council beginning Jan. 14
(Waterloo, Ont. – Jan. 4, 2019) Business plan presentations provide an opportunity to inform as well as educate about many things we do as a city. The plans provide context to assist council with the upcoming budget decisions. For the community, the business plans provide an overview of the various services and service levels the city provides, along with key projects planned for 2019. Staff will be presenting these business plans on the following dates during regularly scheduled council meetings:
Jan. 14, 2019 | office of the CAO (including economic development, legal services and asset management) and integrated planning and public works (including building standards, city utilities, engineering services, planning and transportation services) |
Jan. 21, 2019 | corporate services (including corporate communications, finance, fleet and procurement services, human resources, information management and technology services and legislative services) |
Jan. 28, 2019 | community services (including community programming and outreach services, recreation services, environment and parks services, facility design and management services, fire rescue services and municipal enforcement services) and the Waterloo Public Library |
Between Dec. 11, 2018 and Feb. 15, 2019, staff are conducting online public engagement with the community to better understand what information residents would like to know about the city’s budget and budget process and how better to communicate this information. Residents are encouraged to join the conversation via engagewr.ca/waterloo. For more information about the 2019 budget, visit waterloo.ca/budget.
