If you need to warm up or cool down during extreme weather, city facilities are open to the public during regular hours.
You can also find regional warming and cooling spaces throughout the Region.

Check when city buildings are open
Visit these city facilities during regular hours:
- Waterloo City Hall (City Centre) – Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- RIM Park Manulife Sportsplex – daily 6 a.m. to midnight
- Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex – daily 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Albert McCormick Community Centre – daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Hours change on holidays. Check our closures and cancellations page for holiday hours.
