Get inclusion support to join city programs. Support is free and provided by trained inclusion staff.

Apply when you register for your program – support depends on staff availability.

What inclusion support provides

Inclusion staff can:

  • adapt activities to meet your needs
  • provide 1:1 or shared support

Request support in advance

Ask for inclusion support as soon as you register for your program:

  • support depends on staff availability
  • you don't need to live in Waterloo to apply

Apply for an inclusion membership

Fill out the online form to apply for an inclusion membership. A membership is required to receive support from inclusion staff.

What to expect:

  • the form takes about 10 to 15 minutes
  • we keep your information private and only share it with staff who support you
  • staff follow up within 2 weeks

Sign up for Adapted Discovery Camp

Adapted Discovery Camp is a summer day camp for youth ages 10 to 14 with diverse needs or a disability.  

Camp details:

  • July 20 to 24, from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
  • held at WMRC
  • 1 staff for every 3 campers
  • led by trained inclusion support workers

You will need an inclusion membership when you register.

How to sign up:

  1. Sign in to your ActiveWaterloo account and register online.
  2. Complete the online consent form by June 1, 2026.
  3. Read the Adapted Discovery Camp Info Package (PDF) for additional camp information.
