Check camp readiness
Your child must be camp ready to attend camp.
A camp ready child can:
- follow instructions from staff
- participate in a way that is safe for themselves and others
- use the bathroom on their own
- eat independently
If you answered “no” to any of these, apply for inclusion support.
If a camper is not showing that they are program ready, staff will talk with families to plan next steps.
Staying healthy at camp
Help keep everyone safe by following these health practices:
- keep your child home if they are not feeling well
- masking is optional for campers and staff
- parents and guardians stop at the sign-in table for drop-off and pick-up
Health practices may be updated based on advice from public health.
Camp leader training
All camp leaders:
- are certified in first aid and CPR C
- are trained in High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development
- have completed a vulnerable sector police reference check
Get inclusion support
Request inclusion support if your child would benefit from extra support to participate in camp. Apply early – support depends on staff availability.
Staff can provide 1:1 or shared support, and adapt activities as needed.
