Request a curb cut

Only the city can approve and complete curb cuts. Residents cannot alter curbs – we will charge you if you do.

  2. Our inspector will come to your property to review. You do not have to be at home.
  3. If approved, the inspector will leave a permit form with the property owner.
  4. Fill out the permit form and submit it in person at the Waterloo Service Centre (265 Lexington Court).
  5. Pay the fee:
    • $145 per permit
    • $155 per metre for the curb cut
    • we accept cash, debit, or cheque (payable to the City of Waterloo)
  6. The city will arrange the work with a contractor, usually within two weeks of payment.
